By incorporating pulses into our school menus, we aim to improve the nutritional quality of meals while reducing our environmental footprint. Pulses are known for their ability to fix nitrogen in the soil, making them an eco-friendly choice for sustainable agriculture.
Recipes to Satisfy Young Palates
Our new Plant-based Protein Recipea Book features a wide array of delectable dishes designed to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. We understand that appealing to young palates is no easy task, so we've crafted recipes that are not only healthy but also enticing. Some of our favorites include:

Scaled up for success
Each recipe is scaled up to take the stress out of menu-making. With Nutritional Data given per 100g of cooked product, as well as prep and cooking times, our Plant-based Recipea Book was produced with busy School Chefs in mind. There are even serving suggestions per meal to complete the plant-based meal package.
In partnership with JPL Catering
Our friends at JPL Catering were the perfect partners to help us in this project. They are a pioneering school catering provider led by Michelin trained chef, catering expert and cookbook author Junior Lopes. As a result of their innovative and fresh approach to school food, JPL was selected by the National School Food Plan to create menus for their nationwide scheme to improve food in the education sector.
Getting Students Involved
To create a sense of ownership and excitement, we encourage students to participate in the process. Holding taste tests and involving them in menu planning can help build a strong connection between students and their school meals. It's an opportunity to educate them about the benefits of pulse-based proteins and empower them to make healthier food choices.
