Novo Farina Awarded AA grade BRCGS Certification
Leading standards in British made plant protein and free from ingredients
In their very first audit, Novo Farina’s manufacturing facility and processes have been awarded a grade AA certification against the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
Managing Director Chris Harrison states “This was a major team effort; Novo Farina have worked tirelessly over the past year to develop and apply a set of leading production standards and core competencies in food safety culture at our new manufacturing facility.”
The British manufacturer of texturised pea protein and Free From ingredients are incredibly proud to have been awarded the highest grading possible by following a strict set of quality, safety and operating principles which are audited by BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. They are the first client of UK Food Certification Limited to receive certification to the BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9.
Novo Farina products and innovations are driven by a passion for the Great British pea and growing consumer demand for flexible nutrition with a reduced food footprint. Using their East Anglian grown yellow peas, Novo Farina are on a continuous mission to create a range of texturised vegetable proteins and ambient ingredient essentials that deliver taste, convenience and versatility, when used in a wide range of applications across food service, public sector catering, fresh and frozen ready meals and food-to-go categories. They specialise in gluten and soya free TVP, protein enhancing ingredients, flour and panko crumb.
Commercial Director Emily Williams also comments “This is an immensely proud milestone for our team and investors. As a young business, this certification showcases our commitment to providing the very best in British food manufacturing and progression in our field of plant-based ingredients and texturised vegetable protein extrusion. It demonstrates a leading standard and quality assurances to our existing and future customers.
